His Joy my strength

Have you ever thought about the truth in His word? The simplicity found in believing His word as it is? It takes a heart of faith to see it to fruition.

Nehemiah 8:10

“The Joy of the Lord is my strength”

And that is where we draw our strength daily. The joy that comes from our Father produces that strength that we need on this journey of salvation. Think about those that don’t know the Lord, where do they draw their strength from? Think about drinking, smoking, dancing in clubs till dawn, all these mentioned bring satisfaction to them, but there still remains a void on the inside of them, that keeps them wanting more and more of that.

Our Father by His joy fills us with that inner strength that makes you do all things regardless of what weighs you down, in fact if you are governed by that strength, u will never ever feel the burdens, those things that might weigh you down, think about the pressures of this life in this world.

It is a choice one makes to carry those burdens on their shoulder, this alone drains all the strength out of you, and makes you feel empty. And that is why you hear one saying, am tired of this and that, I can’t go on, I have reached a breaking point, I don’t seem to find my strength again, I have waited for too long, and the list goes on. This is an indicator that all this while, you carried all the burdens in your own strength and that is why you hear statements mentioned above.

When you yield to the working of the Lord, the word of God that gives life, and delight in His word daily, your strength will be renewed, the joy of the Lord will be stirred up, the burdens that you once carried will feel light, they will feel as though they don’t exist because you have let the word of God take it’s place in your life, and it’s at this point when you surely acknowledge the solid truth that is in the scripture written in 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

I can’t forget the many times that my strength failed me but immediately the Lord picks me up, restores my soul, and I can’t explain how much strength I feel when the Lord pours it out on the inside of me; a whole new me, the word of God becomes alive in me. I always chose to let go of anything weighing me down for the Lord to pick me up from there. He never fails, He has exalted His word above His name.

Glory to Jehovah!
